These tasty treats are perfect for the lunch boxes and go well with a nice cup of tea. The best part of all, this recipe can be changed to your own personal taste and they can be soft & chewy or dry & crisp, depending on how long you cook them ….

50g margarine
50g butter
80g brown sugar
3 tablespoons honey
200g Porridge oats
50g dried fruit (sultanas, raisins etc.)
1 mashed banana
Optional (chopped nuts)

Melt the margarine & butter in a pan.
When dissolved take from the heat.
Add the honey and stir.
Add all the dry ingredients and stir well.
Lastly add the mashed banana and mix well.
Spread on lined baking sheet (31x22cm)
Score with knife into snack size pieces.
Bake in oven 20 minutes gas mark 5 (crispy leave longer, softer take out earlier!)
