On 26th July, Bh2 Leisure will host a fun, free, arrr-mazing pirate takeover event! Families are invited to attend pirate school, with ‘Corky Plankdancer’ and ‘Rusty Anchorbottom’, to learn the pirate code and join in a sea shanty (or two!) with interactive games and songs. Once children have been taken through the proceedings of pirate school, they’ll be able to get creative and make their very own pirate sword to complete a pirate trail. All children who take part will graduate with a pirate certificate too!

Captain Jack Sparrow will be pilfering around all day for pirate selfies, no doubt he’ll be trying to steal grog from the restaurants too. Join in with his treasure hunt for the opportunity to win chocolates and some amazing family prizes!

The event will run from 11am – 4pm and will take place on the Upper Level at Bh2 Leisure. Bryan Taylor, Bh2 Leisure Centre Manager comments, “We are super excited to hold our first event of the Summer to kick start the school holidays. It’ll be an event for all of the family to enjoy and a lovely way to spend some quality time together during the school holidays!”.

  1. Well this event was very disappointing! I arrived at 12.30 to not be able to decorate my child’s sword as only pens left how are they doing this till 4pm!? there was no pirate school when I asked the staff they had no idea about all the other things you have advertised. I’m glad I didn’t buy my bus ticket just to come this as would have been a waste of a journey.

    1. I’m so sorry to hear this Shaz. I have raised the issue with their team to see if I can find out what happened for you. I can recommend Oasis Fun on Glen Fern Rd if you are still looking for something out of the rain to do with your child in Bournemouth today – crazy golf or bowling! Or my kids love the amusements arcade ‘Fun Central’ on Westover Road. love Heather x

    2. Hi Shaz – We feel as disappointed as you, because we helped to advertise this in good faith that it would be a fun event for children. I have emailed BH2 with your concerns and I hope they get back to ASAP – Cheers John

  2. Hi Shaz – I have heard back from the events team and if you would like to contact Sarah on SBristow@savills.com then she would be very happy to chat through your experience. I hope you had a lovely day in Bournemouth, love Heather x
