RenoufsRenoufs Cheese and Wine Restaurant is a one of the latest restaurants to open on the bustling Westbourne high street and very simply (but very beautifully), Renoufs offers a hand-picked selection of fine cheese and charcuterie alongside an impressive selection of wine.

Set in a bijou space along the main street, the restaurant has a well stocked bar surrounded by a mixture of wooden tables, both inside and outside. There is a wide range of ways to enjoy the cheese and charcuterie; including ploughman boards, salads, delicious sounding sides like houmous and olives to simply letting the cheese or charcuterie shine on their own.

The cheeses and charcuterie are listed on large blackboards and the very knowledgable staff are always on hand with advice to help make the (difficult) choices – it all sounds so delicious!

The wine has clearly been hand-picked with care and passion and the result is a hugely tempting wine list chock full of wines that both compliment the food but also can be enjoyed in their own right.

Wines are available both by the glass and by the bottle and Renoufs have also put together 5 wine flights (in white, rose and red), containing 3 glasses of 50ml of 3 different wines – a great way to sample the wines on offer without having to get a bit sloshed in the process!

There is also a range of ales and organic ciders on offer for those not interested in wine, as well as individual bottles of Prosecco for just £5.

Renoufs - meatThis bar is a welcome change from the usual ‘trendy wine bar’. It is a place crafted from both passion and knowledge and combined with their helpful and friendly staff it is extremely conducive to a relaxed and very enjoyable evening.

I would recommend booking to avoid disappointment – it may be new to Westbourne but the word is spreading quickly!
