Bournemouths latest edition to the BH2 complex ‘The Real Greek’ opened its doors to the public on Friday 26th May, and we were lucky enough to attend its launch event.
The venue is the biggest of their 12 restaurants based throughout London and the South, close to the beach and with a unique terrace (Taratsa) that overlooks the gardens it’s easy to understand how visitors were saying they “felt transported to previous holidays in Greece”.
We were given a warm welcome and shown to the terrace where the sun was shining and to be honest it was a perfect day for eating alfresco. It has a relaxed vibe with a focus on recreating the Greek island feel, staff are very attentive and keen to explain the ingredients in dishes we may not have tried before.
The menu consists of
Cold and Hot Meze
Sides and Salads
Or if you really can’t choose, take a look at the set menu inspired by Tonia Buxton and perfect for sharing, they represent great value with prices starting at £32.50 for two.
The Greeks love to eat in his way, I can see why, with so many healthy, delicious and different tastes to try. All whilst sharing a drink, chatting amongst family and friends, following the ethos EAT.TOGETHER.
An exclusive idea only available at the Bournemouth branch is the newly designed picnic bag. If you are heading to the park or a relax on the beach these are just perfect providing a selection of dips and crudités together with 4 Mythos Beers or a bottle of Prosecco, Red, Rose or White wine.
