Fresh from winning more awards, the Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival is excited to announce its sponsors for the 2018 event. The free to attend festival will take place across the 14th and 15th July around Weymouth’s historic harbour and raises money for the Fishermen’s Mission. The Fishermen’s Mission is the only fishermen’s charity that provides emergency support alongside practical and emotional care. It helps all fishermen, active or retired, and their families. Top sponsors this year include Seafish, Hall & Woodhouse, Volvo Cars Poole, Weird Fish and Dream Cottages. The festival’s title sponsor, Pommery Champagne continues its support as organisers focus on the upcoming programme.
Broil King, Weyfish and Lyme Bay Reserve Seafoods are also partners of the festival.

Owned and run by the seventh generation of the Woodhouse family, the company is proud to be a leading independent regional brewer. Over the two day festival, Hall & Woodhouse will be showcasing Badger Ales with beer and food tastings to be held in The Ship Inn.
Volvo Cars Poole, based on Ringwood Road is also returning as a sponsor and will be showcasing its luxurious car range.

Dream Cottages is introducing an exciting new feature for 2018. The Dream Cottages Seafood Festival Trail. The trail will follow a route, showcasing the very best of Weymouth. Participants will collect stamps dotted at various locations along the path and introduce both visitors and locals to all the things that make our town so special and unique. Starting at the corner of Cove Walk and Nothe Parade, the trail sweeps around to the stone pier, then it is up through the Nothe Gardens, and back to Dream Cottages Offices via Newtons Cove where trail finishers will collect their certificate and medal.
The festival draws crowds of over 50,000 people and hosts some of the top names in seafood produce, chefs, and fishing. Chefs for this year’s event which are confirmed include: Neil Rankin, Sophie Michell, Duncan Lucas – Passionate about fish, Nigel Bloxham – Crab House Café, Matt Budden – Hilton.
