I’ve long boasted about my obsession with Stable pizza so I won’t go to deep into the why’s. In a nutshell, it’s a fantastic restaurant concept that blends oh-so-cool woody, rustic interiors with a homely feel you’d mistake as your living room.

The starts of the menu are their pizzas, pies and (at the weekends) cider menu and tasting boards. It’s my go-to date venue and as a vegan, I always feel taken care of.

Having eaten my way through their last vegan menu a few times over, I was ecstatic to find out that they had launched a brand new vegan menu for 2018 a couple of weeks ago.

And so, with our delay, we headed to our local restaurant in Bournemouth to try it out.

The new vegan menu (now situated in a section on the main menu, which I really liked) has kept hold of my last favourite – the Hazlenutter pizza – whilst adding new starters, sharers, sides, pizza, salads AND PUDDING!!

I went for The Good Life pizza for my main, with roasted courgette, aubergine, roasted red & yellow peppers, onion, vegan cheese and fresh basil. It looked beautiful on the plate (really colourful) and tasted delicious, taking the top spot as my new favourite pizza on the menu.

And then we turned our hand to pudding, of which there are now three vegan options – brownie (with raspberry coulee and ice cream), side poached pear (also with vegan ice cream) and if it’s hot outside, why not just enjoy ice cream on its own.

We went for the vegan brownie and two spoons and the chefs did not disappoint. Another triumph from the Stable kitchen – soft, spongey, chocolatey. It was heavenly and accompanied by vegan ice cream (which I’ve yet to be offered on another restaurant menu yet!) was delicious.

Smashing work from the team there and I can’t wait to head right back to try another pizza in a few weeks time!
