I love local success stories, especially when they involve food and extra specially when that food is exclusively made of plants.

Mr Lee’s Noodles - Dorset

Mr Lees Noodles is the tasty, on-the-move creation of Damian Lee, inspired by his life-changing experience of Cancer. Having been told he had four years to live, he knew that a healthy lifestyle including yummy, healthy foods would be the best way to tackle the beast. But he struggled to combat his lust for his guilty pleasure – instant noodles!

And so, with a cause stronger bolder than most and a rumbling tummy, he set about creating a range of instant noodle with all of the flavour and none of the nastiness.

He created six flavours to try, two of which are totally vegan!

Jumping into this review with both feet, I ordered myself a box of Dragon Fire Vegetables – low in sugar, the ingredients list includes ride noodles, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, green beans, spring onion, carrot, miso and chilli powder.

Back in the day, I used to be a fiend for crap food like cheese puffs and Pot Noodle so if I could find a tasty, vegan alternative – party time.

It’s super easy to serve – just add hot water, stir, leave it go get juicy and then…dig in! As a really quick, not naughty lunchtime alternative or a cheeky afternoon snack – it’s a fab warming treat.

I’ve ordered another box for my snack drawer, you should too.
