#MotivationMonday….. …….with Healthy Living James.
I spoke with James Wythe to find out more behind the incredible recipes and photos that regularly appear on his blog and social media platforms.
His story is without a doubt #motivational……..
How did the concept of @HealthyLivingJames come about?
I started my blog Healthy Living James at the end of August 2016, as I wanted to share everything that I had learnt from my journey of long term illness for the past 7 years. I was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.) and told there was no cure. The first 2 years of my illness I was severely ill and completely bed bound. In those first 2 years I sought help from a nutritionist and cut out gluten and dairy completely. Over the next 4 years I was mainly house bound and it was then that I really discovered my passion for food. I taught myself how to cook healthy allergy free meals with limited energy. I felt I wanted to help others with their health, my passion is really to make the world a healthier place! I felt my blog was a way of doing that, even if I could help a handful of people turn their life around then it would be worth it!
Do you have a signature dish?
I wouldn’t say that I have a signature dish, the dish I make the most is my “10 min Healthy Stir-Fry”. I am also in LOVE with one of my latest recipes, 5 ingredient Bounty Bars that are gluten free, vegan and refined sugar free.
You have just released an eBook, tell us more about that?
I created my first eBook called “Healthy Everyday Food”, which is free to download and has 10 healthy recipes inside that are all really simple to make. There are 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, 2 desserts and 2 snacks so that your whole day is pretty much covered. All the recipes are free from gluten, wheat, dairy, egg and refined sugar and each recipe is also plant-based.
Inside the book I share my 10 top tips to healthy living to really help people kickstart their healthy living journey.
I see you are studying to be a Health Coach, what is that?
I am currently just over half way through my Health Coaching education, which I complete in January 2018. A health coach is someone who can really help, guide and support someone on their overall health goals. I have learnt so much along my journey to recovery about health and overall wellness and this course is really giving me the confidence on how I can use my knowledge to help others. I really want to focus on helping people eat a healthier more balanced diet and also specialise in helping those with food allergies.
I am slowly taking on clients as we speak so make sure you reach out to me if you feel that I could help you with your health goals.
What’s next for Healthy Living James?
The massive goal and my absolute dream is to have a recipe book on the shelves. I really feel I have something unique to offer. I am currently seeking ways in which I can work towards that dream, so watch this space!
