It would be hard to deny that two of life’s indulgent pleasures are chocolate and wine, and this is why Furleigh Estate and Bridport-based chocolatier Amuse Chocolate has decided to bring both pleasures together in a wine & chocolate tasting on Thursday 13th April, just in time for Easter.

Amanda Smith, owner of Amuse Chocolate in Symondsbury, enjoyed creating new taste sensations to complement Furleigh’s wine;

“Furleigh wines are fantastic to pair with chocolate, as each wine has a completely different taste experience to offer, from the Sparkling Rosé with its palate of summer red berries to the Bacchus Fume with juicy tropical fruit flavours. I’ve created a black pepper and strawberry chocolate that pairs exceptionally well with Furleigh Estate’s still rosé, as it really enhances the juicy red fruit driven flavours of the wine,” says Amanda.

Rebecca Hansford, owner of Furleigh Estate said: “We are impressed by Amanda’s knowledge of chocolate and her ability to create exciting flavour combinations that work so well with our wines. I think most people will agree that bringing wine and chocolate together at a tasting is a guaranteed good night!”

The event held at Furleigh Estate near Salway Ash, will feature five Furleigh wines paired with chocolate that will both complement and challenge people’s taste experience. Be prepared to try some memorable chocolate experiences such as rose and geranium, baked apple and pine nut and orange and turmeric. Amanda will guide people through flavour combinations, taste sensations and talk about why we love chocolate so much!

Furleigh Estate wine & chocolate tasting is on Thursday 13th April at 7pm. Tickets are £15 per person and can be booked at
