FEASTival kicks off 8 weeks of great menus

FEAST Weymouth kicked off today with an array of chefs, food and cocktails at the FEASTival event in Hope Square.  The eight-week dining event, now in its fourth year, is set to be bigger and better than ever, now including a cocktail menu. To celebrate the start of FEAST, FEASTival treated the crowds to incredible live cookery and cocktail demonstrations as well as food and drink stands from Dorset Food & Drink.  A highlight was an impromptu song about pie from Hotch Potch Savoury pie owner, Alan Mash.

I had a few hours in between parties and had heard about FEASTival on the radio. Always keen to support local events and sample foods – my family and I set out for Hope Square. It was great to see that the great British weather hadn’t dampened the event – we enjoyed some cheese and chilli from the food stalls and watched a couple of the demos too. We are now looking forward to choosing where to eat and drink over the next two months!

James’s Cheese

We read about FEASTival in the paper and were very much looking forward to it, especially as we only live around the corner. We watched Eric and Nigel’s demos as we are big fans of their restaurants. We were delighted to see Billy Winters had a FEAST menu this year as we have taken advantage of the FEAST offerings over the past couple of years. FEAST Weymouth is a great community event and FEASTival was excellent.

Diners are encouraged to follow FEAST Weymouth on social media and look out for fantastic prizes on offer throughout the 8 weeks.

The FEAST Weymouth promotion will work with each participating venue providing a set-menu or offer within the price ranges of £5, £10, £15, £20 or £25 for customers to dine at their establishment throughout the month of October and until the 30th November. Each venue will have their own terms and conditions so diners are encouraged to call ahead and book. Menus for each participating venue will be displayed across the We Are Weymouth UK website.
