Festivals and Events
Easter Saturday – On 31st March 2018 you will find a selection of members at the very first food fair at Abbotsbury Sub Tropical Gardens. For £5 will get you in the Food Fair and the sub tropical gardens.
We are delighted to announce that the 2018 Dorset Food and Venison Festival will take place on Saturday 5th May
Moores, creators of the famous Dorset Knob, along with Dorset Tea and Dorset Food & Drink partnership all assist us in supporting the unique Dorset event.
The Christchurch Food Festival is a fast-growing business-led event. It has developed into a huge and popular attraction drawing thousands of people to our colourful and vibrant town centre and picturesque riverside setting. This culinary relationship with our environment is visualized through the use of bespoke illustrations in our Festival’s marketing.
The Spring Tide Food Festival is an annual celebration of Dorset’s finest local produce held at Hive Beach, Burton Bradstock on a weekend in May.
Hugh has been getting involved with the plans for the Food Fair next May. He has invited some inspiring speakers, including columnist and author George Monbiot and great chef’s including Michelin starred Tom Kerridge.
The Sherborne Castle Country Fair presents a rich and fun programme of events, country activities, stands and entertainment including one of the largest Rare Breed Shows in the country. For one day each year, one of the finest settings with its spectacular grounds and lake surrounding Sherborne Castle is transformed into a fun packed Country Fair with attractions, entertainment and activities for all the family. We look forward to welcoming you to for great day out with your family.
Highcliffe Revival Food Festival is back and bigger and better than ever! Despite the rain last year, the team are buoyed up and are extending the festival over the whole weekend for the first time. The food festival has already attracted some well-known chefs.
There will be a huge range of stalls offering a range of artisan foods and popular take away food stalls. Hoburne will be setting up a new children’s entertainment area and plans are already well afoot for a ‘Cookery hub’ which will take place in the Methodist Church Hall and feature the cookery theatre and popular “Kids Kitchen”.
Swanage Fish Festival celebrating all things ‘fishy’ – food, fishing and fun.
BRIDPORT FOOD FESTIVAL is run by the Bridport Local Food Group, a committee of dedicated volunteers with the aim of supporting producers and promoting local food.
