Festivals and Events
A celebration of Mudefords’ rich cultural heritage, its local produce and its historic links to the Solent, Christchurch Bay, Harbour and Quay – with live music, plenty of fresh, local food stands and some top local chefs in the demo kitchens.
The Highcliffe Food & Arts Festival is a fab weekend full of street traders, entertainment, large craft marquee, the Sheep Show, fun activities for children and a Food Demo tent full of top, local chefs and headlined by TV’s Rosemary Shrager.
The amazing Cheese and Chilli Festival is back in Christchurch for 2019! The event in 2019 will bring an amazing array of tastes, colours and experiences to town and is a ‘must go to event’. The Cheese & Chilli Festival provides fun activities for all ages, with FREE cooking demonstrations, Taste Tents, a Beer Festival, Street Theatre, Live Music, Free Crazy Golf, Free Human Sized Table Football, Children’s Entertainments including Magic Shows, Punch & Judy, Balloon Modelling, Treasure Hunts.

A week long foodie event in Bridport celebrating all the fabulous food and drink producers across the region.
July will see Street Food Warehouse return for a second year to Lyme Regis for a glorious weekend of fantastic fresh food and delicious drinks. Choose from an outstanding range of different and flavoursome food that will be on offer, from gooey mac’n’cheese to mouthwatering Morrocan, and from sensational seafood to crunchy, doughy churros. Hungry visitors will be able to enjoy a range of mouth-watering food from all over the world alongside an ice-cold pint of craft beer or a fresh zesty Mojito, courtesy of the Pop Up Bar Hire Company. Catering for all with vegan, gluten free and vegetarian vendors, there is truly something for everyone.
The Dorset Seafood Festival is a charitable event celebrating Dorset’s inseparable links with the sea and its fishing communities and takes place around Weymouth’s historic Old Harbour.
Dorset Food and Arts Festival 2019 is back again to champion the best of Dorset and this year promises to showcase a bumper crop of produce and culinary talent. The seventh annual Festival, held as always on the Saturday closest to the late Queen Mother’s birthday, follows the successful pattern of previous years. There will be more than 50 local food and drink stalls, including the regular Poundbury Dorset Farmers’ Market stallholders, music by local singers and groups all day and demonstrations by food experts and chefs.
The 9th festival will be held on the first weekend of August 2019 and we’ll have another great weekend for chilli enthusiasts, food lovers and families. Held at the home of the Earl of Shaftesbury at St Giles Park, we’re lining up a glorious weekend of “chilli fiesta”, with stalls selling all things chilli, from pepper plants to cayenne condiments; seeds to ceramics; plus cooking demonstrations; talks on growing chillies; artisan food producers; music; spicy street food; local ice creams to cool the mouth; local beers to slake the thirst. We have some of the most dedicated independent sauce manufacturers and retailers attending and some of the country’s best specialist chilli growers to showcase their plants and seeds to thousands of visitors at will surely be 2019’s hottest event in Dorset.
