We had a fabulous time at the Dorset Food & Arts Festival and great to see so many delicious Dorset food producers there. A new one to me was Chim Chimney Cakes. They have a quirky converted horse box and produce some unique cakes & savouries.
The dough is first wrapped around a wooden spindle, sprinkled with herbs & cheese or sugar, then cooked over a grill, producing a cone. This is then filled with macaroni cheese, with chilli & bacon toppings (optional) or if sweet, filled with ice-cream or fruit.
If you see them at a festival or fair, make sure you try one, they are delicious……..
