We had great day at Brunsell Farm today! They grow their own pumpkins and invite people to visit the farm to pick pumpkins and do the carving at the farm during half term ready for Halloween. We were greeted by friendly family on our arrival and then guided to the field to choose our own pumpkins.
Once all the children had chosen their pumpkins they were loaded on to wheelbarrows and brought to the barn for children to carve them.
They have great place set up to do the carving with all appropriate tools to help. Sitting down on hay bales the children got on with the carving and us mums got cups of tea. Ideal situation for a day out!
There is a chance to enter the finished pumpkins into a competition to win Toy Barn vouchers for the children this year. The pumpkins are very reasonably priced (according to their size) and everyone at the farm is very friendly. They are open until Saturday for anyone wishing to pick their own pumpkin! They are hoping to make this annual event so if you miss it this year there’s always next Halloween.
Brunsell Farm have their own Facebook page for more information. They are located just outside Stourton Caundle village in North Dorset.
