It has been hotly anticipated and those of us who live close by have watched the builders transform the building …but Bournemouth’s Brewhouse & Kitchen is finally open!
Although I spoke to a few people who managed to sneak in for a cheeky pint before the launch, I was kindly invited to their official launch party and I got to check out the newest drinking establishment to grace the Triangle area of Bournemouth.
With an interior full of wood, exposed brick walls, copper and colourful Poole Pottery tiles, this fully stocked bar also features its own microbrewery on site. As a group of bars, Brewhouse & Kitchen produce over 285 unique craft beers and the Bournemouth branch will produce its own 5 core beers which are unique to the site and then an additional 8 beers seasonally changing varieties. With its own dedicated Brewer, Bournemouth’s Brewhouse & Kitchen also has a wide range of craft beers from across the globe as well as a selection of ‘Beertails’ like their ‘Lagerita’ which blends, tequila, lime, sugar and lager.
Beer also infiltrates the food menu with a number of dishes and sharing platters where beer is a key ingredient, designed to compliment the beer in your hand. If beer is not your thing however, there are lots of different food options, including vegetarian and gluten free options.
The bar covers 2 floors of the beautiful old building in which it sits and also boasts what they claim is Bournemouth’s largest beer garden, featuring a number of ‘beach huts’ to sit in and a fire pit.
This is a great new addition to the up and coming Poole Hill/Triangle area of Bournemouth and well worth a visit.
