If you follow me on Instagram you know I like stopping for coffees in many places and that I also have my favourites. Today I popped in somewhere I hadn’t been in before, but now wish I had popped in sooner!
Bean Shot Coffee opened in Sherborne just under a year ago. I chatted to Graham, the director of Bean Shot Coffee, and I learned a lot about coffee. Bean Shot Coffee have a roastery in Bruton (Somerset) and they source all their own coffee beans. They supply many coffee shops and have cafe within the roastery in Bruton and the one I visited in Sherborne.
Graham knows his coffees and is happy for customers to ask any questions about their coffees and help customers select their drinks. I went for my usual latte – it honestly was one of the best lattes I have had. New cafe definitely added to my regular places!
The Bean Shot team are all about providing coffee experience for customers, they want everyone to enjoy good coffees in a great setting – the cafe has sofas, tables and seats in a minimalist, sort of industrial setting and it works. There isn’t anything else similar in Sherborne. While I was chatting to Graham quite few people popped in and asked for takeaway coffees. I was keen to find out about recyclability of the takeaway cups and was pleased to find out cups are currently recyclable and that their supplier is sourcing for recyclable tops too. Bean Shot Coffee will also be introducing their own reusable bamboo cups soon. I still always rather sit down in a cafe for my coffee though.
Bean Shot Coffee arrange tasting sessions from time to time and there’s even a chart on the wall about coffee flavours!
If you haven’t yet discovered Bean Shot Coffee do pop in. And the best thing – they are open every day including Sundays from 10am to 4pm (Mon to Sat 8.30am to 5pm)!
