Always good to receive comments from visitors who sample our wonderful Dorset food, here is Mark Trailor’s thoughts on his recent visit to Weymouth.
Thank you for recommending some steak restaurants in Weymouth several weeks ago. I thought I’d email you with some feedback and pictures. We had a very nice and pleasant meal at Vaughans consisting of dressed crab and fried bri for starters followed by a 12oz fillet steak which was beautifully cooked.
Our deserts were also delicious and consisted of snickers mess and lemon meringue tart. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful. If I were to be very picky, I would say that the presentation of the food could be a little better considering the price.
Also we went to a pizza restaurant called The Stable overlooking the harbour. We visited this place twice as it was very nice. They do an amazing crab pizza and garlic bread! They also have a very wide range of ciders. We found the staff here to be very helpful and friendly. Here they can also offer you most pizzas in gluten free.
We also visited the cafe on Chesil beach and had an amazing crab sandwich.
Thanks again for your recommendations, Mark
